NORTH WEST INVITE SOLWAY AND TYNE MEMBERS TO JOIN THEIR ANNUAL TRIP

21st Feb 2017

This year, the NWTBC members and friends will be visiting Ireland on 26th to 28th May. It promises to be a terrific trip, with a request by members of the Irish Texel Society to visit them too.

The plan is for us all to gather and depart from Dublin Airport at 9.45 am on the Friday morning and to travel by luxury coach to Ballinasloe Livestock Market, where breeders in Eire are going to bring their stock, for us to view.

From here will we travel north to Moira, to our accommodation for two nights bed and breakfast staying at Ballinderry Inn, Gilgood Cottages or Glebe House, depending on party size and make up.

On Saturday we will depart for Ballymena Show in time for the Texel judging. This is a well supported event, providing an opportunity to see the stock from the many quality flocks in the north. The O'Connor Family, Drumgooland have kindly offered to be our hosts after the show.

After checking out on Sunday morning, we will visit Alastair Gault, owner of the Forkins Flock, before departing for Belfast International Airport by 2.00pm and the journey home.

The cost per person is £200 for accommodation and coach travel, but excludes flights.

Members can find flights with low cost airlines into Dublin and out of Belfast International. YOU are responsible for ensuring that your arrival is in time for the coach departure on Friday and that your flight back to the mainland leaves after 2pm on the Sunday, allowing for check in.

Places are available on a first come, first serve basis and will be secured by payment in full.
Please make cheques payable to NWTBC and send to Jennifer Aiken, Moss House Farm, Wennington, Lancashire, LA2 8NX

Please contact Jennifer immediately if you would like to be included.
