Solway & Tyne Club members feature heavily at Royal Welsh Show

Solway & Tyne members featured at the forefront of the main awards of this year's Royal Welsh show. 
Taking the Championship was Proctors Farms Ltd,  with the ewe which won this year's Highland Show. She headed a very strong section for the breed.  
The reserve title went to Michael James and while he is not a club membe,this outstandning ram was bred by Angela Nairey from her Nairey Flock at Blackburn and was sold at Carlisle last year for 4,400gns.
The Female Champion, came from Matthew MacTaggart's Rascarrel Flock at Auchencairn. 
The reserve female Champion, a ewe lamb from Scholar Flock was bought from Proctors Farms  at the Carlisle Twilight Sale when being carried by her mother. 
The 147,000gns Vicous Sid sold at Lanark last year and now with club members Bowden & Davies's Sportsmans Flock took the shearling class.
To top it off Jeff and Jennifer Aitken took the Proctors Flock to the Group prize as well.
